Scott’s Story

I’ve been lifting weights since I was in high school, mostly self driven.  Grew up playing sports (soccer, football, hockey mostly)  then after a few injuries I got into distance running for a few years. Most recently was working out at Liftetime fitness.  I was struggling with both recently and my wife suggested that I needed a change and that  I give Crossfit a shot, and as is often the case she was right.  I looked for a gym near by that had strong reviews and signed up.

Did my on ramp with Jamie and she made me very comfortable with some of the movements I hadn’t done in years.  I had heard the rumors that crossfit was a bit out of control and was really impressed with the direct coaching both during on ramp and during my first classes.  Of course I did feel like I was going to die during my first real workout
The meal plan from Jamie has been a huge help.  I’ve dropped a bunch of bad weight and I’ve seen a direct improvement in my training.  All of the coaches are great.  They are all a bit different but each have a great attitude and are always pushing you in a good way.
What motivates Scott

Once I really got serious and started being more consistent I’ve noticed significant improvement . Seeing the progress really drives me to keep pushing. That along with being able to set a good example for my kids that being healthy needs to be a priority..

Ive really enjoyed my time at Crossfit 8 Mile so far.  I had always been a plug in your headphones and workout alone kind of guy.  I’m truly surprised how much I’ve enjoyed this totally different gym environment.

Goals

In general I just want to keep having to scale less and less things. Specifically I’d like to get toes to bar and MAYBE SOMEDAY double unders![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
