It was full of new movements, interesting twists, and painful formats of fitness.

I have now done all 7 CrossFit Opens. It’s always full of challenging workouts. Its always guaranteed to leave you sore. Theres always 1 workout to make you rip.

Dave Castro and The CrossFit Games, like anything worth wild, is constantly evolving. Always finding a way to keep things fresh, fun and interesting. Whether you’re in it to be “The Fittest on Earth” or just to challenge yourself a little bit harder then normal, theres something in it for everyone.

One thing that hasn’t always been there is excitement. For me, The Open use to be so hard, and pressured to squeeze out every rep for optimal performance to try and carry a team to the next level. The life and energy that got pumped into our gym every Friday night was amazing. That goes for the rookies to the vets. Everybody left it all out there and went for the sake of truly doing their best. This has been one of my favorite Opens, including my competitive days. We have such a great crew at our gym that it wouldn’t be possible with out it. Thank you everyone for making, not only The Open, but the gym for what it is.

Now on to every day training to constantly pursue progress and crush the next challenge!
